i intended to blog about this for a few days already but i did not because i just couldnt find the words to describe my feelings towards this music video. so i just left it there, since lawrence had both posted this song on his blog too. but then just a moment ago i took a peek on shihao's blog and i saw him blogging about his music video too, his description of the video is just so close to my feelings.

"At the beginning Katy is seen as an old lady reminiscing the pastime with her lost love, portrayed by Diego Luna. The story progresses with how they have good times dancing and painting together and get matching wing tattoos (which were also shown on the old Katy and the boyfriend).

Towards the end they have a fight. He leaves her and gets into a lethal accident thinking about her. This beautiful yet saddening video ends with the old Katy standing at the cliffside thinking about the one that got away.

Sometimes you promise someone forever but it doesn’t work out that way. The past is like a handful of dust; it filters through your fingers, disappearing little by little. I wish, for one day, I could go back. In another life, I would do things differently.
